THE MORE THE TZEDAKAH THE MORE PEACE. PIRKEI AVOT, 2:7

End of Year Giving Campaign

This time of year is always a time of reflection for me. Reflecting on a year filled with highs and lows, full of happy occurrences, and some hard losses. Today, I am focused on the bright lights of Hanukkah which will only brighten the future here at CBS. I feel blessed and lucky to share this community with all of you through all the good and even the tough times.

Please keep your eyes open and your calendar clear to join us on Friday, December 16th, for a very special Pre-Hanukkah Shabbat with our special guest Cantor Phil Baron and his Rimonim band from Valley Beth Shalom. It will certainly be a night to remember filled with singing, fun and sweets.

In 2022-2023 we are excited for many changes to come. With your support, we can continue to beautify our campus. During the Festival of Light, we will brighten not just our hearts and spirit—but our future as well. We hope that with our upcoming changes, we’ll be able to appeal to new Jewish families and reconnect with older members.

In the past, the President of the synagogue has used this last “formal” communication of the year to encourage you to make a last-minute donation to the congregation. This is a way of taking advantage of the tax benefits that are afforded to those who contribute to charities and religious organizations, or simply to embrace this time of giving and include CBS in your plans.

As Jews we are always mindful of our responsibilities to give tzedakah and this time of year is an excellent opportunity to fulfill your personal commitment to give tzedakah.  As 2022 ends, I ask that you end it on the high note with your generosity. Please consider making a meaningful gift this year to Congregation Beth Shalom.  It is solely because of the generosity of you and your fellow congregants that we can continue to provide a spiritual, social, educational and communal home for Jews in the Santa Clarita Valley.

You can scroll down this page and make a donation to Congregation Beth Shalom.

We are truly grateful for your generosity and for being part of our community.

Warmly,

Danny Maya
President
