In this warm-hearted family drama, when patriarch Phillippe dies, his wife Rose feels like her life is over. A chance dinner party reignites her zest for life much to the discomfort of her three loving but somewhat dysfunctional children. Unsure how to deal with this new version of their mother, Rose’s children can’t stop her from celebrating life again. The film is honest, beautifully observed, and laced with a treasure trove of Yiddish and Mizrahi songs.
